Peak to Peak dropped their record down to 9-7 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 8-2 to the Resurrection Christian Cougars. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Pumas couldn't push the score so high this time.

Dane Hirt made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

As for Resurrection Christian, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games.

On Resurrection Christian's side, Brayden MacAlmon was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs MacAlmon has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Bennett Ruby, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

Coming up, Peak to Peak is taking a road trip to challenge Prospect Ridge Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Miners' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Pumas' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Resurrection Christian, they will take on Fort Morgan at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
