Softball Recap: Union Catholic Comes Up Short

After flying high against Oak Knoll last Saturday, Union Catholic came back down to earth. The Vikings lost 19-1 to the Dayton Bulldogs on Monday. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Union Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Dayton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Union Catholic will head out on the road to take on Kent Place at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Dragons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Dayton, they have already played their next match, an 18-1 win against Brearley on the 8th.
