Porter posted their closest win since May 1, 2024 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Salado Eagles 4-2. The win was nothing new for the Spartans as they're now sitting on three straight.

Porter now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Salado, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-1.

Coincidentally, Porter and Salado will both be playing Round Rock Westwood the next time they take the field. Salado will head out to face Round Rock Westwood at 3:45 p.m. on Friday, while Porter will head out to face them at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
