Winning always takes teamwork, but on Wednesday Phinn Thomas stepped things up a notch to give Stevenson the 'W'. Thomas struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. The performance marked the most strikeouts he has had since back in March.

Thomas and Stevenson will head out to square off against Monterey at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Thomas had to take a loss the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their game back in May of 2024 7-1. If he drops another game like that, the outcome could be different this time around.
