Softball Recap: Gadsden City Takes a Loss

Gadsden City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 20-12 to the Hokes Bluff Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 16-2 loss back in March.

Gadsden City got a big performance out of Jalynn Odom, who scored two runs while going 2-for-5. Kiera Hampton was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.

Gadsden City's defeat dropped their record down to 7-19. As for Hokes Bluff, they moved to 15-16 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Gadsden City will venture away from home to square off against Ohatchee at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hokes Bluff, they will host Etowah at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
