It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Westminster Christian had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Palmer Trinity Falcons. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Gigi Artiles paced Westminster Christian's offense, picking up 22 kills. Artiles got some help from Alex Washington and her 32 assists. Alyana Cadavid controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the loss, Palmer Trinity saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bianca Blanco had two aces and one block. Blanco is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last 12 games she's played.

Westminster Christian's win bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Palmer Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-9.

Westminster Christian has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Chaminade-Madonna on the 21st. As for Palmer Trinity, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against True North Classical Academy on the 21st.
