Basketball Recap: Shadow Ridge Takes a Loss

Shadow Ridge saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 56-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Irvine Vaqueros. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cooper Stearns was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds for Irvine. The match was Stearns' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Jalen Yim was another key player, putting up six points.

Shadow Ridge now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Irvine, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.

Shadow Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-36 victory against Carson on the 30th. As for Irvine, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-50 win against El Toro on the 30th.
