Baseball Recap: Caldwell County Makes It 18 in a Row at Home

Caldwell County took a 15-run defeat the last time they faced off against Christian County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Colonels 2-1 on Monday. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 19-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

Caldwell County pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Christian County, they moved to 14-12 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
