Basketball Recap: Wellington School Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

If Patriot Prep Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Wellington School, they should've done a better job of containing Dea Singh. The Wellington School Jaguars blew past the Patriot Prep Academy Eagles 50-28 on Wednesday thanks in part to Singh, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played.

Another player making a difference was Natalie Moore, who posted 16 points along with five boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Wellington School's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 23 points. As for Patriot Prep Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Wellington School will host Bishop Rosecrans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Patriot Prep Academy, they are taking a road trip to challenge Cristo Rey at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
