Basketball Game Preview: Fairborn Skyhawks vs. Piqua Indians

Fairborn hasn't had much luck against Piqua recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Fairborn Skyhawks will head out on the road to challenge the Piqua Indians at 7:15 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Fairborn escaped with a win against Monroe by the margin of a single free throw, 31-30.

Fairborn relied on the efforts of Brooklynn Kimball, who posted eight points along with ten rebounds and five assists, and Aubrey Jones, who earned six points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Piqua, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They snuck past West Carrollton with a 38-33 victory on Saturday.

Fairborn's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Piqua, they pushed their record up to 6-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Fairborn beat Piqua 37-29 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fairborn since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
