Volleyball Recap: Valdez's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Valdez had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Nome-Beltz Nanooks as they made off with a 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Buccaneers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22, 25-22.

Valdez's victory bumped their record up to 44-11-1. As for Nome-Beltz, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-19-2.

Valdez has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Kenai Central on the 13th. As for Nome-Beltz, they will square off against Sitka at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
