Volleyball Game Preview: Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers vs. Nazareth Academy Roadrunners + Official Tickets

After both having extra time off, the Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers and the Nazareth Academy Roadrunners will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Joliet Catholic has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since September 22.

On Tuesday, Joliet Catholic came up short against Saint Viator and fell 2-0.

Joliet Catholic was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 18 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18.

The losing side was boosted by Ella Godeaux, who had six digs and three aces.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Nazareth Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past Carmel 2-1.

Nazareth Academy got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 30-32, 25-21, 25-19.

Joliet Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Nazareth Academy, their win bumped their record up to 11-14.

Joliet Catholic beat Nazareth Academy 2-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hilltoppers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
