Baseball Recap: Fountain Central Mustangs vs. Parke Heritage Wolves
Fountain Central extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 5-17 in the process. They lost 13-5 to the Parke Heritage Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 on Saturday.
As for Parke Heritage, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.
For Parke Heritage's part, Jerrid Graves spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned runs on 12 hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Parke Heritage got a massive performance out of BT Luce, who went 3-for-4 with four runs and two doubles. Those four runs gave Luce a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Braydon Goodwin, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
