Baseball Recap: Garfield Takes a Loss

Garfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Crestview Rebels. That's two games in a row now that the G-Men have lost by just one run.

Garfield's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Crestview, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Garfield will take on rival Champion at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the G-Men 3.5, the Golden Flashes 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Crestview is set to square off against their familiar foe Liberty at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
