Carrollton is a perfect 3-0 against Douglas County since November of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Douglas County will be up against a hot Carrollton squad: the team just extended their winning streak to nine. The Trojans blew past East Coweta 50-23 last Friday. The Trojans' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Cameron Wood and Ricky Howell Jr. Wood had a great game and rushed for 106 yards and three scores on only eight carries. Meanwhile, Howell Jr did his best for the losing side, picking up 87 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Douglas County challenged Chapel Hill on Friday. The Tigers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Panthers 48-10. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Panthers are ranked 314th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Carrollton better keep an eye on Zamarcus Lindley. He was instrumental in Douglas County's win, rushing for 67 yards and three TDs on only eight carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns Lindley has posted since back in October of 2024. Jeremiah Mathis got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Douglas County's defense and their three sacks. In that department, Jordan Carter was the leader with two. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last three times he's played. Richard Dice was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making ten total tackles.

Carrollton's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Douglas County, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
