Hinkley is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Monday. They will head out on the road to challenge the Denver East Angels at 4:00 p.m. Hinkley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4 goals per game this season.

If Denver East heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Hinkley took over last week. The Thunder walked away with a 3-1 victory over Regis Groff on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Hinkley.

They hit Regis Groff with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jeralyn Navarro, America Castrejon, and Alexsandra Ortiz.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Denver East was forced to settle for a draw. They and Fossil Ridge finished up their match with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.

Hinkley pushed their record up to 4-1-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three games. With that draw, Denver East's record moves to 2-0-1.

Hinkley suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Denver East when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Thunder avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
