Basketball Game Preview: Barrington Fillies/Broncos vs. Hersey Huskies

Barrington is 1-9 against Hersey since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Barrington Fillies/Broncos will square off against the Hersey Huskies at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Barrington beat Buffalo Grove 46-41. The win continues a trend for the Fillies/Broncos in their matchups with the Bison: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Hersey had no trouble coming through when it counted. They claimed a resounding 58-20 victory over Larkin. The Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 25 points or more this season.

The win (which was Hersey's fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-11. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points over those games. As for Barrington, their victory bumped their record up to 15-16.

Barrington might still be hurting after the 61-36 loss they got from Hersey when the teams last played last Tuesday. Can Barrington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
