Recap: Christoval Cougars vs. Forsan Buffaloes
The Christoval Cougars''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 34-7 defeat at the hands of Forsan. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Christoval in their matchups with Forsan: they've now lost three in a row.
Stanton Mcglothlin threw for 37 yards and a touchdown. Jake Edmiston was his top target, picking up 31 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Forsan can attribute much of their success to Grant Roman, who rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Roman was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 56 yards.
Christoval has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Forsan, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christoval will face off against Sonora at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
