Soccer Game Preview: Butler vs. Central

The Butler Bears will head out to take on the Central Yellow Jackets at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Butler is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They blew past Pleasure Ridge Park 6-1 on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what Butler needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Central was forced to settle for a draw. They and Iroquois finished up their game with a 0-0 draw on Tuesday.

Central's draw makes their record 1-2-1 this season. As for Butler, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 2-6 record.

Butler took their win against Central when the teams last played back in August of 2024 by a conclusive 8-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
