Baseball Recap: Inglewood Takes a Loss

Inglewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Centennial Apaches. The Sentinels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Apaches apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Wesley Jackson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of his eight plate appearances with three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Inglewood's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Centennial, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-7.

While Inglewood had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
