Baseball Recap: Forge Christian Has No Trouble Against Moon Valley

Forge Christian got themselves on the board against Moon Valley on Friday, but Moon Valley never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Rockets with a sharp 11-0 win. The Fury haven't had any issues with the Rockets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Ben McLean made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Easton Wilde was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Sullivan Strange was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Forge Christian now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Moon Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Coming up, Forge Christian will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Lyons at 3:30 p.m. As for Moon Valley, they are taking a road trip to face off against Thunderbird at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Moon Valley's pitchers better be ready for this one: Thunderbird has averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
