Preview: Leland Chargers vs. Leigh Longhorns        
        
		
            
 The Leland Chargers will be staying on the road  on Wednesday to face off against the Leigh Longhorns at 4:00  p.m. Leland's pitching crew has only allowed four  runs per game  this season, so Leigh's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
 Leland has not done well against Santa Teresa recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. Leland's pitcher stepped up to hand Santa Teresa  a   1-0 shutout.
  Hannah Ames was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with a  home run.  Kaci Yoshioka-Wong was another key contributor,  getting on base  in two of her three plate appearances with two  stolen bases.
 Meanwhile, Leigh was able to grind out a solid  victory over Westmont on Friday, taking the game  4-1. The  win was just what Leigh needed coming off of  a  13-1 defeat in their prior  matchup.
  Elliana Snyder was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Camryn Manning-Alarcon, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
 Leland is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record  this season. As for Leigh, they now  have a winning record of 5-4.
 Wednesday's   game will be a test for both team's pitchers. Leland hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .312. However, it's not like Leigh struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .332. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
