Softball Recap: Fairlawn Comes Up Short

After flying high against Northridge on Monday, Fairlawn came back down to earth. The Jets came up short against the Russia Raiders on Tuesday, falling 20-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Jets in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost three in a row.

Fairlawn saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avah Roediger, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one double.

Fairlawn's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Russia, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.

Coming up, Fairlawn will square off against Anna at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rockets will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Jets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Russia, they will challenge Botkins at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
