Dade Christian put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Carol City Chiefs with a sharp 82-59 victory. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Chiefs are ranked 533rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dade Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gabriel Alonso led the charge by putting up 23 points and four steals. Alonso is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Herrera, who posted 15 points along with six steals and five assists.

Dade Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They racked up seven more assists than Carol City's also-impressive total of 13.

Loss or not, Carol City got some senior leadership from Will Bazile and Anthony Channel. Bazile shot 83% from the field on his way to 10 points, while Channel went 5-for-8 en route to 12 points. Channel also set a new season-high mark in field goal percentage with 63%. Treon Buford also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Dade Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Carol City, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Dade Christian has already played their next game, an 86-64 victory against Reagan on the 9th. As for Carol City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 62-52 defeat against Miami Beach on the 12th.
