Basketball Recap: StoneBridge Takes a Loss

StoneBridge lost against Broadwater Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cavaliers took a 43-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings.

Noah Pruitt had an outrageously good game for Broadwater Academy as he made all 8 shots he took to post 22 points along with eight boards and three blocks. That's the most points Pruitt has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Ross, who put up eight points and five steals.

StoneBridge dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Broadwater Academy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

StoneBridge will take on Norfolk Christian in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Broadwater Academy, after both having extra time off, they and Gateway Christian will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026. Broadwater Academy will be up against Gateway Christian's rather soft defense (which has allowed 65 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
