Baseball Recap: Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Comes Up Short

After flying high against St. Thomas More Academy last Tuesday, Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill came back down to earth. The Lion fell 10-6 to the Trinity Academy Tigers on Thursday. The Lion were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Andrew Cavender made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 4-6 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Marshall, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
