Football Recap: Carter Smith Key Part of Team Effort in Eagles Win + How To Watch

Blue Mountain won the last time they faced Palisades and things went their way on Friday too. The Eagles blew past the Pirates 42-21. The Eagles' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Blue Mountain's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carter Smith led the charge by rushing for 171 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Those 171 rushing yards gave Smith a new career-high. Another passer making a difference was Cohen Kirby, who threw for 178 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75% of his passes.

The win got Blue Mountain back to even at 3-3. As for Palisades, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blue Mountain will square off against Lehighton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Palisades, they will take on Palmerton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
