Basketball Recap: Western Boone Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Tristyn Faulk and Gavin Hawkins

Western Boone lost against North Montgomery back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Western Boone Stars fell to the North Montgomery Chargin' Chargers 33-28. The Stars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Western Boone's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Gavin Hawkins, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points, and Tristyn Faulk, who posted nine points.

North Montgomery was led to victory by Kelby Harwood and Colten Arnold. Harwood dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds, while Arnold put up seven points and six rebounds. Those six rebounds gave Arnold a new career-high.

Western Boone's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for North Montgomery, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Crawfordsville the next time they take the court. Western Boone will head out to face Crawfordsville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while North Montgomery will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
