It was a good run, but Cuero unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Pace Vikings by a score of 2-1.
Jessa Cox paced Cuero's offense, picking up ten kills. Cox got some help from Reagan Reitz and her 14 assists. Caroline Kubesch controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Andrea Salgado had an outrageously good game for Pace as she had 20 digs and six assists. Those six assists gave Salgado a new career-high.
Cuero's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Pace, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.
Cuero will face off against Calallen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pace, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Jones on the 30th.
