Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Peoria Notre Dame walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Mercer County Golden Eagles 2-1 on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Irish, who have now won eight contests in a row.

Despite the loss, Mercer County still got an impressive performance from Lilli Nylin, who had ten digs and two assists.

Peoria Notre Dame's win bumped their record up to 23-12. As for Mercer County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-19 record this season.
