Midland Christian waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with 13 straight wins... but they left with 14. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Sundown Roughnecks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-0 back in March.

Maddy Munoz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 13 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Midland Christian got a massive performance out of Annie Munoz, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Kyler Graham was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Midland Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive matches.

Midland Christian's victory was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-4-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Sundown, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-5.

Midland Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sundown, they will head out on the road to face off against Ralls at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Roughnecks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jackrabbits have averaged an impressive 10.9 runs per game this season.
