Baseball Game Preview: Center Point Pirates vs. Johnson City Eagles

The Center Point Pirates will venture away from home to square off against the Johnson City Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Center Point is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Center Point lost 21-2 to Mason on Friday.

Center Point saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leighton Johnson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Johnson City made easy work of Del Valle on Tuesday and carried off an 8-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 16 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Center Point's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Johnson City, their victory bumped their record up to 17-2.

Center Point suffered a grim 20-0 defeat to Johnson City in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
