Volleyball Recap: Algoma Comes Up Short

Algoma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Sevastopol Pioneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 two weeks ago.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-12, 19-25, 25-21.

Algoma's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Sevastopol, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-12.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Algoma will challenge rival Peshtigo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sevastopol is set to square off against their familiar foe Sturgeon Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
