Basketball Recap: Colin Kelly's Big Game Can't Quite Lead West Warwick over Portsmouth

West Warwick and Portsmouth squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but West Warwick had to settle for second. They took a 78-60 bruising from the Portsmouth Patriots. The Wizards haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Several Wizards players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Colin Kelly, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards. Those 15 points gave Kelly a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Stearns, who posted 16 points.

West Warwick's loss dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Portsmouth, they pushed their record up to 17-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

West Warwick does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Portsmouth, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 87-49 defeat against Classical on the 11th.
