Baseball Recap: Bayou Academy Comes Up Short

Bayou Academy lost against North Delta last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bayou Academy Colts took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Delta Green Wave.

Reed Batts was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Elliot Llyod, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Bayou Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for North Delta, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-3-1 record this season.

Bayou Academy will face off against Marshall Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Delta, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Canton Academy at 3:00 p.m. North Delta is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
