Recap: Rivendell Academy vs. Oxbow Olympians
Rivendell Academy's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They received a tough blow as they fell 40-22 to Oxbow. Rivendell Academy has not had much luck with Oxbow recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Rivendell Academy had strong showings from Lily Murray, who scored 15 points, and Mason Fahey, who scored three points along with nine rebounds.
Rivendell Academy bumped their record down to 0-2 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.0 points per game. As for Oxbow, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rivendell Academy will take on Twinfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oxbow, they will head out on the road to face off against Woodstock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
