Baseball Recap: Six Straight Road Wins for Cedar Grove

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cedar Grove). They blew past the Nutley Maroon Raiders 17-6 on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Cedar Grove's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Nutley, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Looking ahead, Cedar Grove will venture away from home to square off against Bloomfield at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bengals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.89 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Nutley, they will be playing at home against Caldwell at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
