Baseball Recap: Wayne Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Wayne and Honeoye Falls-Lima meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Eagles might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-2 to the Cougars, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, with their most recent defeat being a 4-2 loss on Friday.

Michael Grasso made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Honeoye Falls-Lima, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-15 record this season.

As of now, neither Wayne nor Honeoye Falls-Lima have any future games scheduled.
