Softball Recap: Norte Vista Takes a Loss

Norte Vista was the 22-0 winner over Jurupa Valley when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Braves came up short against the Jaguars on Thursday, falling 20-1. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Angelina Mercado made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Norte Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Jurupa Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Norte Vista will face off against Patriot at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jurupa Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Colton at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
