Volleyball Recap: Princeton Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Princeton lost against Erie-Prophetstown back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

While Princeton ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20.

Caroline Keutzer paced Princeton's offense, picking up seven kills. Keutzer got some help from Makayla Hecht and her 13 assists.

Leading Erie-Prophetstown to victory were Brown Brynn and Hodgett Shelby. Brynn had 12 digs and three assists, while Shelby had four aces and three digs. Those four aces gave Shelby a new career-high.

Princeton's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7. As for Erie-Prophetstown, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 17-2.

While Princeton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
