Volleyball Recap: Galva Comes Up Short

Galva was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Cougars when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead ROWVA/Williamsfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ella Rigg, who had nine digs and three assists. That's the most assists Rigg has posted since back in October of 2024. Sawyer Secrist also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Galva's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for ROWVA/Williamsfield, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

Galva didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Annawan on the 20th. As for ROWVA/Williamsfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Mendon Unity on the 20th.
