The Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Jefferson Saints 83-13 on Tuesday. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Wildcats had established a 67-point advantage.

The Academy had a senior duo take command as Adrian Gurerro shot 75% from the field to rack up 14 points and five steals and Dominik Konarski went 6-for-7 en route to 15 points and three steals. Konarski's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cedric Rathbun, who posted ten points.

The Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-40 loss against Evergreen on the 3rd. As for Jefferson, they have also already played their next contest, a 72-17 defeat against Prospect Ridge Academy on the 4th.
