Softball Recap: Rudder Comes Up Short

Rudder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 20-7 to the Montgomery Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-1 back in March.

Hailey Hoover was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kiley Newland, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Rudder's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Montgomery, their win bumped their record up to 15-12.

As of now, neither Rudder nor the Bears have any future games scheduled.
