Football Recap: Hedgesville Takes a Loss

Hedgesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Jefferson Cougars and fell 49-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Hedgesville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Jefferson, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Hedgesville will head out to challenge Albert Gallatin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jefferson, they will venture away from home to face off against George Washington at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Patriots' defense has only allowed 10.4 points per game this season, so the Cougars' offense will have their work cut out for them.
