Soccer Game Preview: Carmel vs. Pacific Collegiate

The Carmel Padres will head out to take on the Pacific Collegiate Pumas at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pacific Collegiate took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Carmel, who comes in off a win.

Pacific Collegiate better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Carmel really get things going. Carmel blew past Monte Vista Christian 5-1 on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Padres have won by exactly four goals.

Meanwhile, Pacific Collegiate didn't have quite enough to beat Gonzales on Friday and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Pumas have lost by just one goal.

Carmel is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four contests. As for Pacific Collegiate, they dropped their record down to 1-5-2 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
