 Perry scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets with a sharp  17-4 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what Perry needed considering they were shutout in their previous   game.
  Brady Shively made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  pitched 2.2 innings while giving up   no  earned run off   one  hit. Shively has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive pitching appearances. Shively was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing five bases while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Tate Essex, who  scored four  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Braylon Ardner, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
 Perry's win bumped their record up to 5-3-1. As for Cory-Rawson, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with that  defeat, which was their 15th straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Perry will  square off against Botkins at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Perry is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.7  runs per game  this season. As for Cory-Rawson, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Bluffton at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Cory-Rawson is facing Bluffton at the right time seeing as Bluffton is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
