Baseball Recap: Grenada Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Grenada can now relate to. They fell just short of the Warren Central Vikings by a score of 5-3 on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 on Saturday.

Grenada saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Klinck, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Grenada's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 17-12-1. As for Warren Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 20-9 record this season.

While Grenada had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
