Poland is 8-2 against Gray-New Gloucester since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. Neither Poland nor Gray-New Gloucester posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Poland fell victim to Medomak Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 7-0 to the Panthers. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

North Yarmouth Academy hit Gray-New Gloucester with a seven-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Patriots came up short against the Panthers, falling 15-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Patriots were not able to get on the board.

Gray-New Gloucester has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Poland, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Poland took their victory against Gray-New Gloucester in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 14-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
