Softball Recap: La Junta Tigers vs. Alamosa Mean Moose

La Junta posted their biggest victory since August 29th on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Alamosa Mean Moose as the La Junta Tigers made off with a 13-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Isabelle Aragon made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Aragon was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Livia Smith was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. The last time her OBP was this high was back in August. Ayanna Torrez was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, La Junta didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with six strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alamosa didn't tossed any.

La Junta now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Alamosa, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.
