Soccer Recap: Madison East Takes a Loss

After flying high against Madison La Follette last Thursday, Madison East came back down to earth. The Purgolders came up short against the Verona Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 9-0. Madison East haven't had much luck with Verona recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Madison East now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Verona, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Madison East will face off against rival Janesville Craig at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Verona is set to square off against their familiar foe Middleton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few goals on average (Verona 0.5, Middleton 0.4) so any goals scored will be well earned.
